N M*
“I frequently feel stressed because of academic demands.” 46 2.46
“I feel pressured to outperform my peers academically.” 46 2.72
“Academic competition at my university motivates me to improve.” 46 2.74

Results

To answer the research question, data from Table 1 can be used to identify that at Khalifa University, undergraduates tend to feel excessively stressed (M*=2.46) due to demands from university courses (a mean of 2 or lower indicates general agreement with the statement). The evidence shows a correlation between being stressed from academic-related workloads and a feeling of competition towards their peers (M*=2.72). Despite the supposed negative or seemingly unhealthy effects on students, a good percentage feel compelled and motivated to improve their performance(M*=2.74) when faced with stress and competition from peers when it comes to university-related challenges.
